Very often distributed applications require special management tools. Using MMC 3.0 and .Net, it is possible to create tools within a common framework that is familiar to many Windows IT professionals. This session will review the basics of authoring custom MMC snapins, introducing the basic components of the framework. We'll also go over the basics of distributing such a snapin, including a technique for integrating your tools into the Windows Computer Management console to make your tools appear to be more seamlessly integrated into Windows itself.
